There’s been a lot of #HotTakes being fired off about the new line of “Team Describe” MLB/NBA hats from New Era being the “worst hats ever”.
Well Internet, step aside cuz the Foremost Expert on Sport Fashion is here to declare final judgment.
These hats are not in fact the worst. All of these hats are far worse.
Make no mistake, these New Era hats are awful and it’s mostly because of the awkward placement on the front of the hat of a city specific item like the Chicago Flag or the Liberty Bell. Boston gets the George Washington statue because…🤷🏻♂️. New York has the Statue of Liberty, yadda yadda yadda, you get the idea.
But featured on the back of most of the hats is a food item linked to the culture of each city. And that’s where things get interesting.
Food is awesome. That’s a fact. And cartoon drawings of food are almost as awesome. So in order to once again prove the rest of the Internet wrong, the Lil’ Dogg presents to you my humble readers The Hi-Top Top 5 Food Items on these Team Decide Hats.
5. The Boston Lobster Roll
Just to prove this pup is as objective as they come the Lil’ Dogg notched the delicious Lobster Roll at number 5 but mostly cuz any real Bostonian knows this should have been a Roast Beef sandwich. Three-way of course.

This pup is strictly a Cali Roll guy but I’m sure the sushi in the Bay is top notch.
